Day 13 & 12 because I can't keep a good secret!

Day 13 - Ended up a family/rest day. That's three in a row. I'm not sure if this is good overall in my training plan but it's really ok. We ran errands, hung out and slept. Sounds productive to me!

Day 14 - WEIGH In Day! y'all may remember my last DietBet.com Challenge Where I lost 8lbs and with in a week I had gained 1/4 back, only to restart my next challenge. Well, I lost 8lbs this past month so in 2 months I've lost 12.9lbs. I'll take it. It's been tough to say no to certain food favorite. I allowed for a little more carbs this challenge than last but it feels good to see the scale moving down.

Picture Evidence

So while I struggled with seeing the weight come off, I can see it a little better in the pictures... I feel like there is a long way to go but at least there is progress!

I have 2 weeks until my first Triathlon... I'm hoping to say within 5lbs of this range of weight. I've got the hurdle of this week - A Foodie Memorial Day Weekend.... and then 4 days of training for it. Wish me luck!

I'll be back later with the rest of today's adventures!

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

So apparently I didn't need to write up What Would You Tell Someone Interested in a Triathlon?

There you have it!

So.... I know you want to know every detail of my day.

We left the house and had Lunch with the Hubs/Daddy. I had Sangria, Pollo Acapulco (Cheesy Chicken with pineapple), basket of corn tortillias, salsa and cheese dip (cause if you are going to break/celebrate a diet - do it right!). Yum. However, the plan to swim immediately needed to wait. OY. So off to CVS, then Asbury Thrift Store where I score a Strasburg Top for Lizzie for a buck! ok... at that point it was time to face the pool. After my first gliding drill... I knew it wasn't going to be my best swim.... 10 minutes in and my lunch was sitting at the base of my throat.  20 minutes in and I felt a little better 25 minutes oh no.... feeling... 30 minutes I was done... THEN Chatty life guard (it's time to pay back since I do this to people all the time) talked for 30 minutes..... I got out of the pool and sat in the sauna... I love the sauna!  The rest of the afternoon went well and I recovered from Sangria & Swim. Might not do that for a while. Dropped off kids at soccer (yay hubs is home!) and went to Tri 101.

Y'all know that I look forward to Monday Nights Every Week. They are my reset button. It is my learning time. It is my selfish - focus-on-me time. It's such a gift. Tonight was no different. We got out there and immediately it felt like home. The friendships, the kindness, the friendly smiles (that I still can't put names to even though we wear name tags!), the quick exchanges and updates of the past week - it's so enjoyable. We did our routine stretches (which I need to build into my daily routine... I still haven't), then got running. We ran for 20 minutes. I was proud of myself but I could tell my tummy still wasn't where it needed to be. We did some mat time and worked on our core. OUCH. Then we went running again... it was revealed in our after run chat that it was so you could feel your core. the answer is yet. The 2nd run was tough. My hamstring was hurting. Of course, I didn't know it was my hamstring and had to ask a favored coach what muscle it was. The coach was great at giving me some exercises to do to work on it... Um.. like I said, I need to build stretches into my routine... I haven't yet... but the strong ones... they do it... so it's a must!

The After Run Beers is the best time yet. Um... To me this is when you get to know your coaches, your team and other Tri-101ers. The Before and After of the Training sessions are a good time.

So yes... Today was a good day! I came home to my dog who is learning to behave and the freedom to eat anything. I tried the Raspberry Chocolate Ice Cream I had been saving... UGH.. Disappointment.I think it's the first ice cream I've ever been disappointed it. Tried to eat Cheetos but the dog ate more than I did... so I settled on chocolate.... LAME... Tomorrow is back to eating healthy (not restricted though). In Case I haven't mentioned it, I love Jack's Cantina Salsa. It's so yummy on my eggs at breakfast! ok... that's tomorrow. Thanks for reading...  good night!
