In this new circle of influence, peeps be buyin' GPS tracking big money spending watches that track swim laps, pace, distance on a bike and on feet... I think they make coffee and serve you an egg white omelet with no salt or cheese.... and a tall glass of cold water....
Not me... I bought Bodymedia Fit Band... in true confession, I have been eying it and the Body Bug for years. It's what the Contestants wear on The Biggest Loser that tracks calories burned/activity level, steps taken, sleep patterns and food eaten (you can log it in). However, up until now, the price ($119/$159+ monthly subscription) was just too much money for me. The first time I looked into it it was around $250 to get started. Last week, on a whim, I looked it up and it was on sale at Costco for $100 including a year subscription. SOLD. That's less than $10 a month. I really want to reach a healthy point in the next year. This can be a tool to help me find balance in life, food and bringing activity and exercise into my life. With it's fancy bluetooth technology, It can update info to my phone and online. So I can know exactly where I'm at. It's a little obvious on the arm... it's not going to look so good with my summer wardrobe of Tanks Tops and Shorts but I'm sure I'll live.
In other new, I've been working on my posture for the past year. When I had Jack I was unofficially diagnosed with Scoliosis. a year and a half later, a chiropractor pointed it out. One would think it was in my upper back but surprise, it's in my lower back. Now that I"m working out it's been stressed and irritated. I've been working at proper posture in hopes that from now til the day I die, I'll have a healthy back. To help with my back I've been using Lacrosse balls. Simple roll the ball on your back/spine having a toddler do it OR use the wall.... It's a good hurt.
