Rest Day Tuesday, Wondering Wednesday

I had a great Tuesday. I met my goal on weight loss (won $43.72 - considering I put $25 in... I'm think I did alright!) and then proceeded to celebrate by eating chocolate. Amazon put Lindt Milk Chocolate Truffles on sale (I paid $16 for a box of 60) and they happened to be delivered yesterday around noon. Needless to say, I had my fair share! For Supper I had Roast Beef and Mashed Potatoes - Potatoes are so much better when you haven't had them in a while- PLUS I had Swiss Chalet Gravy - which was the finishing touch!  I put the kids to bed and passed out. Once I realized I had fallen asleep with the kids I decided to go with it and slept 11 hours last night! I woke up feeling like  a new person!

Wednesday we are back to the grind. Besides having a Gigi's lemon Cheesecake cupcake,  it was a fairly normal morning! After picking up Lizzie from School, We headed to the YMCA. I managed to get 700m in... only 100ms of just regular freestyle with no floaties! The first lap went super great! I felt like I had it all coming together. Unfortunately the second lap did not go so good- my brain blue screened and my arms malfunctioned. Since the first 650m had gone so well, I considered it a success and got out of the pool. I did hit up the sauna for 15 minutes which so super relaxing! I grabbed the kids so they could swim and did some stretches in the warm kiddie splash pool.

This evening I attended a New Balance Running Form Clinic - Maybe I hate running because I'm doing everything wrong?  So the 4 Elements to Proper Form are :1. Posture (Fail - I look down to much, bend at the hip instead of ankle) 2. Midfoot - (Fail - I heel strike) 3. Cadence (Fail- We practiced good which is 150 steps a minute and 180 steps a minute and I would consider both of those fast paces for me!) 4. Lean (Fail - My lean is wonky at best.... note:bending at waist, head is looking down....) At least now I have an idea of what I look like running and a general idea on how to fix it... Now to practice. Which... can I admit to not looking forward to it?

I'll post the video when I get it.
