Whoop It Up Wednesday!

I mark today a day of landmark and success... even if it's about small victories!

First - I saw my goal weight on the scale for the DietBet Challenge I'm doing. Now granted, I need to stay at this weight and hopefully lower for 5 more days, but I actually saw the number on the scale and that was encouraging. In similar news, I was at the Doctors and in the past year I've lost 18lbs. while that isn't huge- it's more than I've done in a long time so I am please. Even more pleased that 14 of those pounds is from this year!

Second - I swam. It was a good swim. I managed 800 meters. Now, 600 of that were drills but I felt really good about how the session was going. I also discovered that am not afraid of the deep end like I was on Monday. I noticed my breathing was better today too. Now, to fix my sinking....

Third - I passed up on an evening workout to have a date with my husband. No Regrets there! Thanks to the inlaws that came over, the hubs and I had a nice meal. walked and did a little shopping this evening. It was super nice to hangout with the guy I married! I actually got to hold his hand instead of two littles.

Fourth - I realized I do love our dog. He had to go to the vet to get his manhood removed. This is after a week of thinking I was wrong to ever bring a puppy into our family. He is a Great Pyrenees Mix  and at 18 weeks is 37 lbs and still very much a puppy. Chewing things. Crazy Energy and a pain in my side. He came back very happy to see the family and the kids were so happy to see him. I know this has nothing to do with Tri Training but it does have to do with emotional well being. I concluded that he is worth the work because of the love that gets shared. This makes for a happy family - Happy family means a momma can be a happy triathlete! A little random stress can reek havoc on an exercise session - or so I've notice.
